Help Us Help Our Neighbors in Need
The number of families needing help has increased by 30% just in the last year. While much of our food is supplied by Fulfill (the Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties) and we also receive generous donations from local supermarkets, we still spend over $150,000 per year for operations, supplies, and to provide supplemental healthy food for the growing number of families who come to us for assistance. We deeply appreciate your contribution.

Bradley Food Pantry Seeks New Home to Meet Growing Need
We are deeply grateful and thrilled to announce that our Pantry Builders Campaign, launched in September, has exceeded our goal of $100,000. We are off to an excellent start! With our hearts full of hope and determination, we appreciate the continuing support of our generous community as we venture into our fifth decade and look forward to a bright future in a new home!
CURRENT CHALLENGES
The number of families coming to us for food has more than doubled in the last two years. Since the pandemic, our clients have faced rising costs of living and falling support. For example, average Asbury Park rents increased 13% since 2021 and food prices rose 15%. During that time, COVID-related SNAP benefits were eliminated and the Enhanced Child Tax Credit ended. Although many of our clients work, their jobs do not pay a living wage in Monmouth County. As a result, our daily visits in July 2023 averaged 75 clients per day compared to 27 in 2021. We now serve nearly 500 families a week.
OUR NEEDS & VISION
Recognizing the realities of this new economic environment and increased need, the Bradley Food Pantry is now seeking a new location that will better accommodate the number of families coming to us for assistance. We have evaluated several opportunities, but are still searching for the right space. If you have a lead or contact for a building, land, or other option that may meet our needs, please contact us at bradleyfoodpantry@gmail.com.
DONATIONS
A new location will demand additional resources to pay rent and related expenses. We are counting on a variety of sources, including the generous community of which we are so vital a part.
